Liquor Galore

This place is a liquor galore. Yes, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to liquor at La Bodega, Bangsar, KL as there will be a large variety of it on display at the counter. It will take you many many trips here for you to try out each and every type of liquor they serve. A highly recommended place to chill out.

Low Cost Houses

Not all landed terrace houses come with a readymade car porch. This was what I found out as I drove around Taman Matang Jaya, a low cost housing estate at Selangor one fine morning. A typical terrace house unit here does not have a carporch, driveway, gate or any fence bordering the garden. Those who want these infrastructures will have to construct their own, as can be seen by the house on the right. Well, this brings new meaning to the term "open neighbourhood".

Olympics

24 Aug 2008: Today is the last day and marks the end of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Congratulations to China for the marvellous Opening Ceremony on 08 Aug 2008, the equally superb just-concluded Closing Ceremony, the amazing architecture of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, the successful organising of the games and coming out top in the gold medal standings for the first time.

Olympic Games is supposed to be the biggest sporting event in the world. If that is the case, can somebody please explain why the following sports are not part of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games:

1) Squash - A very popular sport being played all over the world. This sport is also played in Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, but funny, not in Olympic Games till today.
2) Bowling - Also another very popular sport played all over the world.

At least Wushu is getting a headstart with the organising of the 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament to coincide with the Olympics.

If any one of the abovementioned sports is part of the Olympics, I strongly believe Malaysia will return home with more than just one silver medal in the recent games. Agree with me? Anyway, congrats to Lee Chong Wei for coming home with a silver medal. Still waiting for the elusive gold medal; hope to get it at London 2012.

Tiara Puteri

Here are some semi-detached show houses. Very nice and contemporary design indeed. This is part of a new development by the name of Tiara Puteri, located at Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

The flat and tilted roofs above resemble a mortarboard. Below, you will notice that the full-height glass window has its top slanting outwards. A very unique feature of the house. Colourful glass panels can also be seen at the background.

Spot The Mistake

Can you spot the mistake in the alphabet wordings?

Guess again. It starts with "X".

Got it?

Answer: It should be spelt as "XIAO", not "XIOA".
