I can continue to dream about it but there won't be snow (I mean natural snow) in Malaysia at least for the next goodness knows how many years to come...

8) Santa Rina...

Young or old, boy or girl, you are never too old to party... and Christmas is the right time to rock the night away...

4) Church and Midnight Mass...
Thousands and thousands of Christians will flock to church on Christmas eve night to countdown to Christmas Day.

3) Baby Jesus in a Crib...
Yes, the reason for Christmas being celebrated is Jesus being born... He was delivered from Mary's womb in a humble manger some 2000 years ago...

2) Santa Claus...
Ho Ho Ho... Santa Claus is coming to town... together with his big round tummy and his bag of goodies... Ho Ho Ho...

and the top answer that comes to mind when we think of Christmas is...

Heineken Tree

Heineken, Heineken, Heineken rock
Heineken swing and Heineken ring
Snowing and blowing up Heineken fun
Now the Heineken has begun

Heineken, Heineken, Heineken rock
Heineken chime in Heineken time
Dancing and prancing in Heineken Square
In the frosty air

What a bright time, it's the right time
To Heineken the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go gliding in a Heineken sleigh

Giddy-up jingle horse pick up your feet
Heineken around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet
That's the Heineken
That's the Heineken
That's the Heineken rock

(sung to the tune of Jingle Bell Rock)

View of KLCC

Managed to capture some shots of Petronas Twin Towers and the surrounding KLCC park from Traders Hotel.

It was a wet and rainy evening when I arrived.

Night came,
and the sky was dark,
but the towers can still be seen glimmering with light.

The next morning when I woke up,
the sun was shining brightly,
a promising new day ahead,
a day full of hope.

Life is COOL!

Jade Hills Charity Event

Remember the 1000 lanterns not too long ago? This time, a charity event was organised at Jade Hills on 16 Nov 2008 in conjunction with World Kindness Week.

Underprevileged children from some surrounding homes were transported here for some fun while participating in activities that were lined up for them.

Children getting ready for some action. KFC the Chicken can be seen here cheering and motivating the crowd.

Later on, there was a magic show to thrill the audience.

Those who were restless can always occupy themselves with some fun games that were arranged.

There were also art and colouring competitions for the creative ones.

It is hoped that this event has created awareness among the general public on the need to show kindness and charity to the needy and less fortunate in our society.

Buka Puasa

Buka Puasa means "breaking of fast" in Malay. During the holy month of Ramadan, which is the month leading to the Muslim Hari Raya celebration, believers are required to fast from sunrise till sunset.

Attended a Buka Puasa buffet dinner at Palace of the Golden Horses with colleagues a few days ago. A large variety of mouth-watering food were served there; enough to fill everyone's stomach to the brim.

COOL!

Frangipani

Frangipani is an exclusive, high-class restaurant tucked away at a quiet corner of Changkat Bukit Bintang, off Jalan Bukit Bintang, KL.

As you enter the restaurant, you will see a stunningly huge and decorative heavy-duty door. A sweet usher will then proceed to open the door and guide you into the dining area.

Once inside, you can really feel the ambience of the place, with the seating arrangement surrounding a pool of water at the centre.

Here, it is fine dining at its best. The price shown in the menu is on the high side, but then again, the food, the service and the atmosphere of the place make it all worthwhile.

A highly recommended place for a romantic getaway dinner. To make a reservation, please call 03 21443001.

Double Decker

Spotted a double-decker bus in KL. Meant for tourists travelling within the city centre, maybe... It says "KL HOP-ON HOP-OFF" and "CITY TOUR". Well, might want to hop on to one of these one day and see where it goes... Anybody want to join me?

Petaling Street

Central Market and Petaling Street at the heart of Kuala Lumpur are two places that are synonymous to shoppers' paradise.

From watches to wallets,

sunglasses to shoes

and bags to belts, tourists and shoppers can easily find something interesting to be bought from here which suits their heart's desire.

Central Market is a building consisting of many many stalls and shops inside. This place is famous for its cultural items, although there are also many other stuffs to be found here nevertheless.

Colourful stuffs being displayed in one of the stalls in Central Market.

A typical scene outside Central Market where the never-ending stream of people walk past every day.

Located at a stone's throw away, Petaling Street has a Chinatown kind of atmosphere where hawkers and petty traders pit against each other to wow and convince potential customers to their stalls. The street has been renovated and decorated a few years back and is now fully shaded with lanterns hanging from the roof. A place not to miss if you are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
